With the vision statement, “A community built upon the freedom to express creativity and share that with others,” Flash Media wanted to establish a brand that was clean and professional while still conveying their core values. In the early stages of brand development, the idea of using the viewfinder of a camera as the foundation for the logo began to take shape. This stuck out as the most effective and exciting way to accomplish the needs of the company’s visual identity. The final word-mark is based on this original concept while its bold personality allows it to stand alone without the addition of the camera grid.

Flash Media is a company that provides photography services to UGA organizations and the broader Athens community. By contracting out their photography projects, they become a platform for photographers and videographers to hone their craft and gain valuable experience. This collaborative business model was a key aspect of the brand identity for Flash Media. Since their audience is both potential clients as well as photographer/videographer partners, the brand needed to appeal to a large demographic of individuals.
