KNOWING
A personal response and exploration of the word, “Intellect.” Using two different media, I attempted to express the intersectionality of intellect and emotions. My personal interpretation of these words is that they cannot be separated, and in order to pursue true intellectual and emotional awareness we have to recognize what motivates each thought and decision.
Animation: The expression of the word “Knowing” that shows a dependence on multiple perspectives. These perspectives are used to create a full composition which parallels the relationship between feeling and fact.
Posters: A pseudo-data visualization expressing my sleep pattern over the course of eight days. Sleep represents quantitative data that also alludes to a qualitative sub-conscious existing during sleep.
